Innovative Technology Education for top Beijing Middle schools by Tsinghua University and Siemens
On January 8-9 2018, Tsinghua University iCenter, Beijing Youth Science and Technology Center and Siemens organized the first Solid Edge teachers training workshop for 25 Beijing middle schools (selected under the “Beijing School Youth Talents Program”). These middle schools send out their top technology teachers to receive the training for Technology Innovation and Digital CAD Design using Solid Edge.
Twenty technology teachers from the renowned Beijing Middle schools including Renmin Middle School, Tsinghua Middle School, Beijing No.4 Middle School, Beijing No.11 School, Beijing No.2 Middle School, Beijing Normal University Affiliated High School, Beijing Yucai High School and Beijing Yuying High School participated in this 2-days Solid Edge training class, held in world renowned Beijing Tsinghua University.

This Solid Edge training course, part of the “Siemens Solid Edge Technology Education Program” program and supported by the “Beijing School Youth Talents Program”, is launched by Tsinghua University iCenter, Beijing Youth Science and Technology Center and Siemens PLM Software on December 7, 2017. This program aims to cover more than 100 middle schools in Beijing and neighboring cities within 2 years.

These 25 Beijing Middle Schools use Solid Edge High School Edition academic software to promote the STEM education and technology innovation for their students, which includes innovation education workshops, technical and creative auxiliary classes, design competitions to jointly create a technology innovation ecosystem for Beijing schools and students. It is also an expansion of Tsinghua University and Siemens PLM Software’s cooperation with the Fundamental Industry Training Center after two years implementation with NX™ software, Teamcenter® software, andTecnomatix® portfolio.
