Danny presented to the students and professors recent advancements in the NX user experience. This included how NX is leveraging emerging software and hardware platforms like cloud computing, virtual reality, augmented reality and mobility.

Danny discussed the future direction of NX and shared videos of recent Siemens PLM innovations, such as SpaceX’s Future of Design and Catchbook – an engineering notebook.

“We really want to focus on making the software as discoverable and intuitive as possible,” Danny said.

He also showed touch-enabled NX 10 with simplified user interface for tablets.

“…coming from new users and coming from other applications where users are now used to using just touch as an input…we want to really make NX intuitive and have the full capability of the system.”
