Student Project from Oakland University Plant Simulation Course
Industrial and Systems Engineering at Oakland University gives you the opportunity to work in a variety of businesses, whether it is distributing products worldwide, manufacturing superior automobiles, or streamlining the procedures in an operating room, all of these situations share the common goal of increasing efficiencies and saving companies money.
Check out one of the Plant Simulation student projects from PLM Applications-Throughput Simulation Course offered fall semester at Oakland University. This is a digital twin of the conveyor in Sharf CIM Lab which use a Siemens 1500 series PLC.
Sharf Automation Line Project objectives are:
- To study the existing line and capture several key aspects of the existing automation line (constraints, dimension, cycle time, etc.)
- Establish a working logical model that matches the existing actual model
- Make modifications to the existing model and explore capabilities of Plant Simulation
