Siemens shares mPower best new software in 2022 awards with TSMC

In 2022, the mPower EM/IR power analysis solution from Siemens EDA received the following awards:
- From Electroniques in France, the Electrons d’Or award for best software in the CAO/Mesure/Outils Category
- From Elektronik in Germany, the Product of the Year award in the Software-Tools category
In reality, the solution the designer uses, and likes enough to recommend the mPower tool for awards, is really a combination of Siemens software and design kits from the target foundry. In this case, the target foundry was TSMC, meaning those mPower awards for best software in 2022 were really collaborative wins for both Siemens and TSMC!
At the recent TSMC-Siemens Management Review Meeting in Taiwan, it was my pleasure to present trophies for both awards to TSMC in recognition of their efforts in making the mPower tool an award-winning EM/IR solution for the semiconductor ecosystem. Accepting the awards on TSMC’s behalf were C.T. Wu; Director, Design Methodology and Kit Development Division, and Dan Kochpatcharin; Director, Design Infrastructure Management Division. These mPower awards are our reminder that delivering advanced semiconductor chips requires very creative solutions, and those solutions are often created via true partnerships.
TSMC and Siemens EDA have collaborated continuously over the years to provide the semiconductor industry with innovative tools and processes that support continuing development of pioneering technology and products. We look forward to future success and an ongoing relationship for many years to come.
