PADS Product Creation Platform"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Within companies, engineers and designers may have different titles: Design Engineer, PCB Engineer, Design Specialist, etc.\u00a0 But ultimately, what is your job?\u00a0 It\u2019s to help get your company\u2019s product designed, built, and out to market.<\/p>\n<p>You first think about what the product is \u2013 what you will create.\u00a0 Then, you need to evaluate what type of design issues you may have.\u00a0 Will the product have DDR memory that needs to be simulated?\u00a0 Will you have an FPGA with multiple power rails, that will result in a layout with complex split power planes, and you will need to be concerned with current density and voltage drop?\u00a0 How about the mechanical design?\u00a0 How difficult will it be to fit the electronics into the new, sleek packaging that\u2019s been specified?\u00a0 And once you get them into the packaging, how will the heat get dissipated?\u00a0 Can you lay the design out on a 4 layer board, or will it need 6, bumping the cost up?\u00a0 Once the design is complete, will it pass EMI tests?<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pads.com\/product-creation?cmpid=9050\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5060\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.sw.siemens.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/55\/2016\/05\/Product-Creation.png\" alt=\"Product Creation\" width=\"450\" height=\"450\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Only now do you start thinking about what tools you will need to help you overcome all of these design challenges.\u00a0 The PADS Product Creation Platform is the only desktop PCB design solution which helps individual engineers and small teams solve all of these issues.\u00a0 PADS has been extended beyond schematic capture SI analysis, and PCB layout to include technology to allow engineers to address their complex
