ESC imminent
Well, tomorrow is the big day. ESC San Jose 2012 [now part of DESIGN West] runs for 3 days and looks set to be an excellent show for anyone interested in embedded systems software or hardware.
I recently outlined our plans for the Mentor Embedded booth, but we now have more details …
Our booth is set to be a hive of activity, with a continuous program of technical briefings in the theater and hands on workshops. Along with presentations from key partners, the sessions in the theater are titled as follows:
- Embedded Software Development Tools – The Third Way
- Power Management in Embedded Systems
- Harnessing Open Source: Mentor Embedded Linux and Yocto
- Nucleus: The Proven OS for Real Time Applications
You can find further details here. If you are at the show, do come along. If you are unable to attend, but would like a copy of the presentations, just email me.
The hands-on workshops are an exciting departure for us. You can have the opportunity to try your hand at developing and debugging a Linux application on a PandaBoard using the Sourcery CodeBench IDE. And there is a chance that you could win a PandaBoard to take home!
For me, this show is always exciting, as I get to meet friends and colleagues, old and new. I very much enjoy meeting readers of this blog, so please stop by and say Hi. If you find me and mention this blog, I will give you an exclusive free gift [as long as stocks last].
