Nine principles of low-code application development
Low-code. What’s all the buzz?
If you’re not familiar, with this new approach to software development, low-code enables you to build apps using pre-built components in a visual environment (using drag-and-drop). As a result, low-code allows more agility, cutting down the time spent on building and deploying apps as well as requiring less engineering efforts than traditional development methodologies. It delivers high-quality solutions quickly and no advanced developer skills are required!
According to Gartner, “by 2024, low-code application development will be responsible for more than 65 percent of application development activity”[1]. The race is on to compete in this digital (r)evolution. Low-code is the real deal and it´s already happening now.
But, if you’re new to low-code development, where do you begin?
To get started, check out “The Principles of Low-Code Development”. It is the perfect guide for current and future citizen developers who are looking for the first step to a new way of development.
“The Principles of Low-Code Development” sets out five core application development pillars, which in turn support the nine foundational principles of low-code app development. Makers across the organization are enabled to tear down the barriers of what is possible with software and increase the impact on business value.
With low-code: It’s about collaboration. It’s about speed. It’s about business value.
