Welcome David Chadwick to the Blogsquad
We are on a role with adding new members on the Siemens PLM Blog Squad. Please join me in welcoming our newest blogger David Chadwick. You probably recognize Dave from several of his guest posts on our blog. Most recently about the survey we did with Tech-Clarity and back in March of 2011 in another 3-part series on how smaller manufacturing companies are taking control of their product data.
David is responsible for global product marketing for the data management components of the Mainstream Engineering business unit of Siemens PLM Software, including Solid Edge Insight XT and Teamcenter Express.
David joined Intergraph UK in 1988 as an application engineer for mechanical CAD but quickly focused on PDM. Since then he has undertaken several roles in the PDM area with Intergraph, UGS, Dassault (Smarteam) and Siemens PLM Software, and has been the technical lead or project manager for PDM implementations at many customers across a variety of industries.
Prior to joining Intergraph, he received degrees in mechanical engineering from Imperial College London and in manufacturing engineering from the University of Warwick.
David just returned to the UK after 17 years in the USA accompanied by his American wife and daughter.
One other little tidbit about David that I have come to know since working with him for the last 5-6 years, he has a passion for sailing. Here’s a great picture of him from back in 2008. Maybe he will share some stories with us or describe PDM in sailing terms. 😉
Are their any topics you want Dave to cover on PDM?
