Maarten Romers just kicked off the event to a crowd of about 500. He presented an award to one attendee for his 25th year attending the conference. I asked Maartan to be a citizen journalist for us so stay tuned for some video reporting from him as well.

Helmuth is talking about the customer presentations at the event, including plenary presentations with ASML, Volkswagen, Max Bogl, Rolls Royce. He notes some organizational shifts in our leadership this past year, including Chuck Grindstaff now as CTO, Paul Vogel (previous head of our European business) as EVP of sales and service, and Karsten Newbury as head of our Velocity business.

Helmuth shared a slide of customer logos representing our 56,000 customers with nearly 6 million seats. He also noted several clients of each software product. He included Razor scooter. (Reminds me that the other day my neighbor bought a Razor for his daughter one. So I was proud to say “you know it was designed with my company’s software.”  Love it when I can say that). We also have 10,000 academic partners, training over 1 million students each year.

Helmuth also shared some important recent competitive wins, even hinting at a large automotive OEM win that will be announced soon. wink
