Jeremy Way of Greenpower discusses how the organization encourages more student engineers

Jeremy Way of Greenpower poses with Team USA

At the Greenpower regional heat on Sunday, I spoke with Jeremy Way, CEO of the Greenpower Education Trust to learn a little more about the organization and why he joined it. Jeremy is pictured here with Team USA.

For those of you familiar with this organization and its student competition, it aims to  advance education in sustainable engineering and technology. It does that linking education, industry and community through inspirational engineering projects like electric vehicles.

It impacts 8,000 students at 500 schools each year. And now has the first U.S. team competing. Here is my video interview with Jeremy:

Siemens provides financial support to Greenpower along with engineering mentors. Greenpower teams have also begun downloading the Solid Edge Formula 24 Kit Car and using the free Solid Edge student edition to design their vehicles.

In case you missed my interview last year with our own Mike Brown on Greenpower at Solid Edge University, check it out for more on the Greenpower Challenge.
