Announcing the Femap Symposium Keynote Speaker

In my previous blog, I highlighted the JPL case study that described how Femap was used to create the simulation model of the Mars Rover, its spacecraft and descent vehicle. Now there is a chance to hear more about this live, at the Femap Symposium on June 26th and 27th. We are very pleased to announce that the keynote speaker at this event will be Darlene Lee, Group Supervisor, Spacecraft Structures and Dynamics at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory.

Ms. Lee, a longtime Femap user, will discuss how Femap was used to model the loads environment for the design of the space hardware from launch to landing – during which Curiosity endured the 7 minutes of terror – and the specific design of the Rover.
