CAE process integration is crucial for Noesim

Noesim’s core focus is the provision of engineering consulting services to the aerospace industry, where it applies its significant experience in the design of structural parts for aircraft. An important factor for Noesim is quality, which requires the ability to perform realistic CAE simulations that extend into dynamic, nonlinear and multi-physics solutions. To this end, Noesim uses Femap with NX Nastran and cites the opportunity for process integration as one of the main reasons for its decision. This ranges from acquiring diverse customer CAD geometry up front to integrating third party or in-house simulation operations downstream. Noesim makes good use of the Femap application programming interface (API) to help integrate CAE into its simulation processes. Also, as Femap is a Windows native program, data can be exchanged with standard Microsoft applications like Excel, which is important for small companies like Noesim.
