Dr. Stefan Jokusch talks about Teamcenter mechatronics investment and strategy

In the first interview with Dr. Stefan Jockusch, VP, Product Development, Siemens PLM Software, we explored what makes mechatronics products so complex, and in the second interview we talked about how PLM can help manage the complexity of mechatronics products. In this part of the interview we talked about Teamcenter investment and vision in mechatronics solution.
Dr. Jockusch believes Teamcenter’s strength for managing development of complex products is due to the fact that “We have made a huge investment in supporting a consistent process for managing electrical, software and mechanical data in a single process – for change, issues, configuration, etc. He cites a Ford example. ” Ford saved over $200m with a Teamcenter solution to manage software as part of the vehicle, and is continuing to invest in a complete systems driven approach.”
