From Auto to Wind Turbine Skills Training

Patrick Turcotte, professor at Lansing Community College in Michigan, attended PLM Connection. Years ago I visited Lansing CC and saw their state-of-the-art technical center complete with Haas CNC machines. Since then they’ve built a second technical center. And while the need for students with applied automotive design and manufacturing skills has decreased, they’ve adapted to serve emerging needs in energy and medical markets. So they continue to place their students in the workforce. Check out my video clip with Patrick.

Patrick also shared in this video clip what he gets out of attending PLM Connection. He takes what he learns about how others use CAD and PLM software in different fields back to the classroom to keep their curriculum on target with future trends. This year, he notes he particularly found the simulation presentations interesting.
