Connecting these tools gives much greater understanding of ship performance and can lead to significant design improvements.

This enables them to perform full ship system performance analysis and find optimal fuel consumption for different operating scenarios. This new method provides increased accuracy by linking results from 1-dimensional and 3-dimensional simulations, and shows that a full ship digital twin is closer than you think.
