NX CMM inspection at IMTS 2012

This year at IMTS you will find at display a Renishaw CMM inspection machine. You will see how this machine is inspecting a part, and learn how the inspection programming is done offline using NX.

CMM machines are used by manufactures to make sure that once the product is built, it meets the products tolerance requirements defined at the design stage

NX CMM allows manufacturers to program their CMM machines in a 3D modeling environment, and thereby reduce inspection programming time significantly. The idea is when you combine CMM programming and inspection as part of your design process you don’t have to wait until your first article is built to start your inspection program.

One of the key advantages of NX CMM is that it is based on the DMIS open standard to ensure it supports CMM machines from a broad range of vendors.
