Have we reached the end of limitations? Find out at PLM Europe 2016
If you’re attending PLM Europe in Berlin, Germany, you won’t want to miss the Monday, October 17th session, “Have we reached the end of limitations?”
Aaron Frankel and Paul Brown from Siemens PLM Software will announce a new solution set that reshapes everything, from business models to product designs to our imaginations. Join us and see the technology that empowers us to shatter limits in the digital industrial revolution. This important 2-hour session will be held in Room A, main stage.
You’ll also hear from Prof. Claus Emmelmann, head of the Institute of Laser and System Technologies at Hamburg University of Technology since 2001, presenting “From Light Engineering to Bionic Production.” By now industrial 3D printing has become part of serial production. The benefits are clear: On top of reduction in time for product development this forward-looking technology enables the economic production of bionic structures and customized products. However, by far not all possibilities of the process are already explored and used. Based on several industrial examples from the portfolio of Laser Zentrum Nord (LZN), Prof. Emmelmann will show the audience how to successfully transfer this technology from prototyping to serial production – focusing on recent industrial applications in the area of bionics and hybrid manufacturing.
Next, our honored guests Ramon Pastor, Vice President and General Manager of HP’s 3D Multi Jet Fusion Business, and Justin Fishkin, Chief Strategy Officer at Local Motors, Inc., will address the audience with presentations about their thought leadership perspectives on 3D printing.
The two hour session will close with a 30-minute panel discussion moderated by Aaron Frankel and Paul Brown. Bring your questions for HP, Local Motors, Prof. Emmelmann and Siemens representatives. We look forward to seeing you in Berlin! If you are not able to attend the conference, watch this blog for more news next week.
