PLM Components Innovation Conference, 24th-25th September 2018 – Review
More than a hundred delegates gathered in the autumnal sunshine at Downing College, Cambridge, where we hosted our second PLM Components Innovation Conference.
The keynote presentation set the scene for a fast-paced agenda of 24 sessions that spanned two days and covered technologies and best practices that are helping to drive the digitalization of manufacturing and construction industries.
We heard from more than a dozen customers who use PLM Components in their innovative applications for computer-aided design, manufacturing and engineering on cloud, mobile and desktop. These sessions were interwoven with presentations from leading product specialists in our own Technology Office, who discussed areas of research and development for Parasolid, D-Cubed, Kineo and Lightworks.
We also heard from technology experts in geometric modeling, generative design, additive manufacturing and robotics, and we learned about commercial tactics for future success through sessions about vendor openness, partnership models and building engagement with the next generation of engineers.
Our Tuesday evening reception in the College’s Fellows Garden gave everybody time to discuss these themes over bubbly libations and jazz, before we all assembled for a candle-lit dinner in the beautiful neo-classical Hall.
Throughout the event, technical support specialists from our local software development site were on hand to answer questions about our range of SDKs, together with our sales team and our technology and service partners. We would like to thank all our speakers, delegates, partners and employees for coming together to create such a successful event!
