New LiveReport Widgets Available for Polarion 2015 Pages
The recent release of Polarion Version 2015 introduced a new feature called LiveReport Pages. This new type of page allows Polarion users to create online information and develop reports visually, using predefined “widgets”. The initial widget catalog has a full SDK documentation how the widgets can be implemented to support even more use cases which can be addressed using these widgets. If you haven’t seen the new Pages and widgets, you can look into the demo projects included with Polarion 2015, where some of the reports are now implemented with the new technology.
You might be interested to know that barely 1 month after our newest release was published, we already have 3 additional widgets available through the Polarion Extensions portal. All of them are incorporate well-known functionality from our classic wiki pages, but it’s now usable by non-coders as widgets – which is why they were introduced. Here’s a rundown on the newly released LiveReport widgets:
Items by status widget displays work items (filtered by Work Item type) grouped by status.
3 Level Traceability widget displays a 3-level Traceability table fully configurable to your needs.
2 Level Traceability widget, similar to the above, displays a 2-level Traceability table fully configurable to your needs.
These new widgets where developed by our strong Polarion community. Let’s hope these widgets will help all other users, and that we will get more of these nice goodies in the near future.
