Presenting our flight simulator @ Hannover Messe 2016

By ABachar

Picture_1.pngLast week, during the Hannover Messe 2016, visitors to the Siemens PLM Software booth in hall 6 were certainly impressed by the flight simulator from the Simcenter system simulation team. In this simulator, advanced technologies are used to create a co-simulation between the multi-physics system model of both the landing gear and the actual aircraft dynamics model. The simulator includes a joystick so that you can experience the feeling of flying the airplane.

This digital twin opens the door for engineers and designers to virtually test their applications (and save a lot of time).

The live data is used directly as input for a coupled 1D-3D system simulation. With this type of cool new technology, our customers will start to see the benefits of digital twins throughout the entire product development process soon.

From our side, we are already busy on ideas for Hannover Messe 2017. We can’t wait to show you how we drive the digital enterprise!
