2. Parameter Mode
Parameter mode builds upon Model Management but uses parametrized models in Simcenter Flomaster and Simcenter Amesim. In this option, key parameters can be surfaced from the model and stored in Teamcenter allowing us to quickly understand how they are configured and allows the versioning of the simulation parameters. By simulating in batch mode we can run simulations and return parametrised results without the requirement to open the simulation tool UI.
When running a simulation in Simcenter Amesim from Teamcenter Simulation, a dedicated GUI provides you more details about the simulation progress. Once the simulation is done, a click on the Upload button sends the simulation results to Teamcenter Simulation.
3. Requirement Management
This option links the parameters to the wider Teamcenter environment. In many cases, simulation users are working with defined specifications and are required to demonstrate that the results from a simulation tool meet them. Using Requirements Management, we can link requirements in Teamcenter and to key parameters in Simcenter Flomaster and Simcenter Amesim. This link allows automatic testing of the models to ensure that if a change is made to either the model or specifications the specifications will still be satisfied.
To define the links between Teamcenter parameters and key parameters in Simcenter Amesim, these parameters must exist in your model. From Teamcenter, you can still edit a model, and expose the parameters and variables of interest so that you can map them with the parameters from Teamcenter as shown in the following figure.
Once it is done, all the information is visible as relationship from your Simcenter Amesim model in Teamcenter Simulation.
