On May 21st 2014, please join the Siemens PLM UK team at the first ever Siemens UK CAE Symposium (registration link) at the Williams F1 Conference Centre in Grove, Oxfordshire. After a number of successful events in the US, Siemens PLM brings this dedicated CAE forum across the pond.

This one day event will give analysts & simulation engineers the chance to learn about Siemens’ strategy & vision for CAE, folding in our strengths with LMS to provide solutions to enable closed loop systems driven product development.

You will be able to choose sessions from two parallel tracks covering capabilities from our suite of solutions from both NX CAE & LMS. These breakout sessions will provide introductions to topics such as  advanced structural, thermal & flow, motion, 1D system-level simulation, virtual & physical test correlation, integrated laminate composite design & simulation, and an overview of high-fidelity acoustic simulation technologies. Last but not least you can learn how to manage all these myriad simulation data using our simulation process and data management capability within Teamcenter. The sessions will mix customer proof point presentations with Siemens technology introductions.

In addition to these technology sessions, our team in the UK is pleased to confirm that Ron Hartvelt, Director of Motorsport for RML Group will discuss their successes in touring car racing and some surprising prototype developments.

Of course throughout the day you have to opportunity to network with your fellow analysts from around the UK to understand how they use NX CAE & LMS to meet the needs of their companies’ product development.

Finally attendees will have the chance to tour the private Williams F1 Grand Prix Collection of Sir Frank Williams, the largest of its kind in the world, spanning the history of the Williams F1 Team since 1978 including the trophy room with the team’s nine Manufacturers’ World Championship wins and F1 cars driven by the likes of Nigel Mansell, Damon Hill and Ayrton Senna. As an F1 afficionado and writing from the home of the Grand Prix of Canada that to me would by itself be worth the price of admission I would think, (which of course is free) so please join us!

From my past my expertise was more structural analysis though these days more thermal & fluid analysis. Grew up in Europe before coming to the States for university and started working.
