For the first time as an official sponsor of Formula Student Germany 2015 we have got in touch with a lot of students and teams sharing the passion for automotive engineering.<\/FONT><\/FONT><\/FONT><\/FONT><\/FONT><\/FONT><\/FONT><\/FONT><\/P><\/p>\n

We had interesting discussions showing the newest technology for geometry handling with NX, geometry-based modeling with NX CAE, system-based modeling with Simcenter Amesim<\/A> or our testing hardware capabilities.<\/FONT><\/FONT><\/FONT><\/FONT><\/FONT><\/FONT><\/FONT><\/FONT><\/P><\/p>\n

We have shown for example how \u00d6hlins has successfully used Simcenter Amesim<\/A> to design and evaluate the dampers, which are used by many FSG-Teams. As second highlight we have presented our Model Predictive Control (MPC) in Simcenter Amesim and how it can be used by the teams to simulate an entire vehicle and to optimize parameters for their requirements. <\/FONT><\/FONT><\/FONT><\/FONT><\/FONT><\/FONT><\/FONT><\/FONT>In several short presentations we have introduced Simcenter Amesim to the students and discussed how simulation can help them to master their challenges.<\/FONT><\/FONT><\/FONT><\/FONT><\/FONT><\/FONT><\/FONT><\/FONT><\/P><\/p>\n

“GO BIG OR GO HOME” was our slogan fo the sponsors challenge. Our task was to tune a bobby car and compete in a run against other sponsors. We have ended up with the innovation award for our concept “BobbyCraft” mixing a bobby car and hovercraft.  <\/FONT><\/FONT><\/FONT><\/FONT><\/FONT><\/FONT><\/FONT><\/FONT><\/P><\/p>\n
