Solid Edge India User Meet 2021.3 Recap

The Solid Edge team here at Siemens Digital Industries Software periodically organizes “user meets” – an online event that serves as an opportunity for Solid Edge users to exchange knowledge with other users across industries and geographies, and to learn how others are getting the most out of Solid Edge.

I recently attended a two-hour user meet organized on December 13, 2021. The event was hosted by Excel Design in partnership with the Solid Edge team. The traditional format of these events which involved meeting up at a physical location has since been replaced with an online meeting format, but the essence remains the same. This time the focus of discussion during the event was on all things part modeling in Solid Edge. More than 55 users attended the event.

The meet started with an exciting quiz to identify Solid Edge commands from icons and some images. The quiz geared up the energy of all the attendees. It was followed by tips and tricks on Solid Edge shared by Sujay Deshmukh. Later, queries from various attendees were coordinated by Paras Raina. It was interesting to hear how people use the software in their respective domains, and questions asked by attendees were useful and opened new ways to explore the modeling environment. Most questions were resolved during the meet itself with help of Paras Raina, other users, and the Solid Edge team.
