Forrester Wave™ PLM Report Recognizes Teamcenter as a Leader
I am very excited to announce that in The Forrester Wave™: Product Lifecycle Management for Discrete Manufacturers, Q1 2021 report, Teamcenter is recognized by Forrester Research as a leader in PLM, with Siemens receiving the highest scores in the current offering and market presence categories and tying for the highest score in the strategy category.
The Forrester Research evaluation gave Teamcenter the highest possible scores across 23 criteria, including above-par scores for vision and product roadmap, requirements, design, bill of material management, embedded software lifecycle management, manufacturing process planning [and] management, digital twin, simulation, stakeholder engagement, IoT platform and usage data management, additive manufacturing, user interface, integration capabilities, configurability and flexibility, architecture, and developer tools. The Forrester report also noted that “Siemens has deep international experience in product lifecycle management.”
The Forrester Wave PLM report assessed Teamcenter and Siemens Digital Industries Software along with six other vendors in a 32-criterion evaluation of PLM for discrete manufacturers, identifying the most significant vendors and researching, analyzing, and scoring each one. Forrester identified embedded software lifecycle, digital twin, and simulation as key differentiators. We believe our ability to deliver the most comprehensive digital twin including mechanical, electrical, electronic, software, and simulation data – and the world’s leading visualization – is why Forrester named us a leader in the report.
