Abstract:        Siemens operates in 289 major production and manufacturing plants worldwide in both software and hardware. The Siemens electronics factory in Amberg is already a show case of the concept for a digital enterprise with a level of automation of 75%.As the area of high variance production is still a major challenge, we see the advanced robotics revolution as a large opportunity to move forward with our vision of Industry 4.0 and the Digital Twin. At Siemens we believe that with the right tools and partners, digitalization boosts efficiency in all phases of manufacturing. In collaboration with the startup ecosystem, internal R&D, and existing factories we are working on solving automation problems in high variance production to make complex production processes become more time, energy and resource efficient. This presentation will highlight pain points from Siemens’ factories, success stories of our collaborations and partnership opportunities within Siemens and next47.

Visit the Siemens team during expo hours at booth #400 where you will experience a demonstration of Process Simulate integration with an application from the startup, ArtiMinds.  You can also learn about Siemens Frontier, a program designed to develop and commercialize your new digital manufacturing technology. We offer selected startups free access to software tools and components, developer resources, and marketing support.
