NX Line Designer and Tecnomatix Plant Simulation Unmanaged
The new releases of NX Line Designer 1980 and Tecnomatix Plant Simulation 16.1 now support a native integration. File-based layout data is transferred to generate simulation models. Ralph Bauknecht will show how the tools work together without the need for extensive IT infrastructure. You will also get a TeamcenterWizard development update.
Today’s planning demands can only be met when the different parties work together. Data exists in single sources and needs to be re-used efficiently by multiple disciplines with multiple tools. The Teamcenter interface is the connection between Plant Simulation and Teamcenter for accessing and exchanging data. It provides the commands required for Plant Simulation to connect to Teamcenter, to receive Teamcenter data, to parse the information received, and make it useful for simulation purposes.
Plant Simulation TeamcenterWizard
The TeamcenterWizard is an automatic model builder that uses a built-in interface object to acquire Teamcenter Manufacturing or Line Designer data, including 3D/JT files. In this session you will learn how to work with the TeamcenterWizard, including new and interesting functionality released with Plant Simulation 16.
- Object classes are generated in the TeamcenterLibrary
- Each model has its own TeamcenterLibrary
- TeamcenterLibrary classes are instantiated to generate the model
- Graphics outside of Plant Simulation Class defined structures are loaded to the root frame
- Moveable units (MUs) are also generated in the TeamcenterLibrary
The Teamcenter Interface imports the BOM, BOP, and BOE, places Item Revisions in corresponding tables, and the JT data in a folder. That information can then be used to create a simulation model reflecting all this manufacturing information. Ralph will demonstrate how Teamcenter handles data within planning teams and how to use managed data with the Plant Simulation TeamcenterWizard.
