Tune in to ITC India 2020

Mentor’s Tessent group is excited to participate in ITC India on July 12-14, 2020. While it is a virtual event this year, you will still see a rich lineup of technical programs. Because you can Zoom in from anywhere, it is easier than ever to attend.

Start your experience with a tutorial, Design and Consumption of IPs for Fail-Safe Automotive ICs, from 9:30 am until 12:45 pm on Sunday, July 12. Presenters include experts from Mentor, a Siemens Business, NXP, and Arm. The exponential growth of electronics in automobiles has led to innovation in advanced safety mechanisms. ICs for automotive applications are also being made at lower technology nodes, and must achieve high quality and reliability requirements. That means you need high-quality IP that complies with ISO 26262 and zero-DPPM test goals. Both IP providers and the users of the IP need to understand the impact of functional safety on IC test. Collaboration between different players in the semiconductor ecosystem is bringing unparalleled safety and integrity to automotive ICs.

For a useful technical session on Monday, July 13, Zoom into A Practical Approach to DFT Implementation on Fully Abutted Designs, from 1:45pm-2:45pm. Mentor’s Nagendra Kommuri delves into real-world concerns for DFT on abutted-style floorplans. The traditional hierarchical DFT methodology turns out to be inefficient when dealing with large SOCs with abutted designs. The presenter, Mentor’s Nagendra Kommuri, points out the problems with the existing methodology and proposes an efficient way to address them. He and his co-author, Naushad Ali, show flexible core grouping, scalable tile stacking, source-synchronous timing, and BUS scrambling to test the complex logic and memories while making efficient use of retargeting and broadcasting within identical cores.

Finally, on Tuesday, July 14 at 10 am, drop in to a keynote from Brady Benware, the Vice President and General Manager of the Tessent group at Mentor.  He covers Silicon Lifecycle Challenges and the Expanding Role of Test. This is sure to be a thoughtful presentation on a key industry trend.
