Newport News Shipbuilding launches the digital shipyard

Newport News Shipbuilding is using Siemens software to help steer the Ford class aircraft carriers on a new course of digital transformation.

With the goal of creating its first “paperless” ship, the company is digitalizing its entire process, from design and manufacturing to operations and service.
