Join us at Accellera’s DAC Luncheon to discuss PSS
Portable Test & Stimulus Standard Takes Center Stage at Accellera’s DAC Luncheon. The luncheon will be held on Tuesday, June 25th from noon-1:30pm in Room 3016. Lunch is free for DAC attendees, but registration is required. You can register here!
The luncheon agenda includes a short update on Accellera’s current standardization program that I will give. I then turn the floor over to Tom Fitzpatrick, the Portable Simulus Working Group Vice Chair and Strategic Verification Architect at Siemens EDA. Tom has several working group members joining him on the dais to discuss PSS 3.0. You can see a full list of speakers at the Accellera events page here.
PSS 3.0 In Review
The Portable Test & Stimulus (PSS) Draft Standard 3.0 is in public review since early May 2024. The public review closes on July 5th, so attendees will have an opportunity to provide feedback and comments in person. For those who will not be attending DAC, feedback, and comments via Accellera’s online PSS Community Forum is encouraged. The PSS 3.0 draft standard adds many new features, corrects errors, clarifies aspect of the language and semantic definition and more. The most substantial feature added is support for behavioral coverage.
Download PSS 3.0 Draft
There is no cost to download the draft standard and participate in the public review. Your first step is to download the PSS 3.0 draft standard. As you review it, you can register your feedback, comments or ask question of the experts via Accellera’s PSS Community Forum.
Additional Resources
The DVCon U.S. 2024 PSS tutorial is not yet available for post conference access where the newer changes and added features are described. However, the DVCon U.S. 2023 tutorial on PSS User Experiences is available. The 2023 tutorial begins with an overview and features users from AMD and Intel who share their experiences using this new technology. If you have limited knowledge of PSS, this tutorial would be a great thing to watch to build your expertise and help prepare you to engage in the lunchtime conversation at DAC.
Check out the short video from Tom Fitzpatrick which highlights the working group’s plan to discuss the PSS 3.0 draft standard as the public review nears its conclusion.
