Introducing Learning Maps: Enhancing learners’ navigation within their Learning Memberships

We’re excited to share some great news about a fantastic new feature in our Siemens Xcelerator Academy Learning Memberships: Our revolutionary learning maps, designed to transform how learners explore and navigate our learning curriculum.

What are Learning Maps?
Learning Maps offer learners an alternative view of the curriculum included in their Learning Memberships. These learning maps prioritize helping users achieve specific learning goals by providing  a clear and structured navigation through the learning content. By filtering for their role, software products in use and tasks to be performed, they will quickly see the learning goals that matter to them.

Why Learning Maps?
Learning Maps are essential guidance for both beginners and ongoing learners, providing a clear and organized path to navigate through content, ensuring efficient and effective learning.

Learning Maps:

  1. Simplify the process of finding curated training: Learning Maps streamline the search for training materials that are tailored to specific skill sets, and roles. Learners no longer need to sift through an extensive range of courses – instead, they can easily identify the content that aligns with their needs.
  2. Meet users where they are: We understand that learners come from diverse backgrounds with varying levels of knowledge and experience. Learning Maps cater to this by clearly representing multiple levels within a skill set or topic. Whether learners are beginners or seasoned professionals, Learning Maps provide relevant content to meet them at their current stage.
  3. Provide guidance for skill development: Learning Maps guide learners through the next steps in their skill development journey. These maps present a clear beginning and end, preparing users  for specific roles and functions. By following the curated sequence of goals, learners can systematically enhance their skills.
  4. Increase motivation and show achievements

How does this differ from what’s currently available?

Currently, users navigate their training via the My Libraries page or by utilizing the Search functionality. In contrast, Learning Maps offer a distinct advantage with a well-defined beginning and end and are designed to prepare users for specific roles and functions. This structured approach ensures that users progress through their learning journey in a systematic manner.

How is this the same?

The content that makes up Learning Maps is the same content that’s accessed in My Libraries. The difference lies in the way this content is organized and presented within the Learning Maps, providing a more intuitive and goal-oriented learning experience. A Learning Membership purchase grants access to both My Libraries and the Learning membership’s corresponding Learning Maps.

To spread the word about this exciting new feature, we encourage you all to explore Learning Maps on  the  portal. Simply log in to your account, navigate to the new Learning Maps section, and start your discovery. We believe that Learning Maps will greatly enhance our students’ learning experience and help them achieve their goals more effectively.
